Maria Sakkari and Alexandra Eala are scheduled to meet at the Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open, a WTA hard-court event. The singles match is listed for 7 November 2026 at 06:30 UTC. It sets an established tour competitor against a highly regarded young left-hander.
Maria Sakkari’s baseline power and tour experience
Sakkari, from Greece, is known for a physical baseline game, a heavy forehand and strong court coverage. Public reports suggest she has spent much of her career in the upper reaches of the WTA rankings. On outdoor hard court, her first-strike tennis and return depth are likely to be central.
Alexandra Eala’s left-handed variety and rising profile
Eala, from the Philippines, plays left-handed and has attracted attention through junior Grand Slam success and progress on the professional tour. She can vary pace and use cross-court angles to open the court. Against a powerful opponent, serve placement and the ability to absorb pace will be tested.
