Claire Liu (United States) meets Alexandra Eala (Philippines) in a WTA match at the Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open on 8 November 2026. The outdoor hard court rewards first-strike tennis and movement.
Claire Liu: American baseline player
Liu is a right-handed baseliner known for early ball-striking and court coverage. Public reports suggest her WTA experience includes hard-court main draws; her 2026 ranking and form are uncertain before the event.
Alexandra Eala: left-handed Filipino talent
Eala is a left-handed Filipino player who has drawn WTA attention, including a notable hard-court run in 2025 per public reports. Her lefty serve and cross-court forehand create angles; the matchup tests whether Liu can neutralize that pattern.
