Brian Ortega (16-5-0, US) and Dan Hooker (24-15-0, NZ) are scheduled for a UFC Fight Night lightweight main-card bout on 21 November 2026. Ortega is known for submission grappling and durability; Hooker for rangy striking and distance control.
Brian Ortega: Submission Threat and Pressure
Ortega’s Brazilian jiu-jitsu background makes him dangerous in scrambles and chokes. He tends to pressure opponents and chain grappling attempts, but must close distance against a longer striker.
Dan Hooker: Range, Kicks and Takedown Defense
Hooker uses length, kicks and straight punches to control space. The bout tests whether his takedown defense can hold up if Ortega forces clinches and extended grappling exchanges.
