Shanghai Dragons host HC Dynamo Moscow in a Kontinental Hockey League game scheduled for 5 November 2026, 16:30 UTC. Public reports describe the Shanghai club as part of the KHL's China-based project, while Dynamo are one of the league's oldest Moscow sides.
Shanghai Dragons: a China-based KHL project
The club reflects the league's effort to build a presence in the Chinese market. Such projects have typically mixed North American and European imports with domestic players, and arena and naming arrangements have changed between seasons, per public reports. Rosters should be confirmed via official KHL sources.
Dynamo Moscow: tradition and defensive shape
Dynamo is a long-standing club rooted in the Soviet championship, usually linked with a compact, defensively disciplined style and strong goaltending. Squad availability and form ahead of a November fixture are best checked closer to the date.
What the matchup tests
A project-style roster meets an established club system: for Shanghai the challenge is handling pace and special teams, for Dynamo it is converting puck possession into goals without lapses.
